Welcome to our Blog! We’re happy that you’re here. I’d like to take this opportunity to explain a little more about the reason I started this business. As you read, it may help you decide whether this aligns with what you would expect from your builder.
I grew up in San Antonio and was extremely fortunate to attend college at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth (Go Frogs!). After graduating with a degree in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration, I moved to Dallas to work in residential real estate development and did so for three years. All the while, deep down I had a persistent desire to serve my country, as many of my family members had done before me. From the time I was young I had dreamed of being a Marine and felt I had a duty to serve my country if I was able, especially since our nation was in a time of war. In 2013, I applied and was accepted to attend Marine Officer Candidate School in Quantico Virginia. In the years since, I’ve had the opportunity to speak with many young people who are thinking of joining the Marines and offer advice. What I always emphasize is that this path is not for everybody. But for me personally, it was the most significant period of personal growth and the greatest sense of purpose I had experienced in life to that point. I remain extremely proud I was able to serve.
Like most people, I have had frustrating experiences with contractors and remodelers in the past. Unfortunately, the industry has a well-earned, bad reputation. Assuming you can get someone to return your call, they often don’t show up on time, are disorganized and sometimes the finished product isn’t what you had imagined. Budgets and timelines can be unclear at best, and at worst you may feel that those details are intentionally being kept from you.
I started this company because I am passionate about beautiful and interesting architecture, building science, and I want to build things that will stand the test of time. Spending the time with a client to truly understand their needs and vision is the type of personalized experience we offer. This allows us to appropriately develop the plans and budget prior to construction starting. In doing so, we increase our speed and efficiency once we start building and reduce the risk of unforeseen costs or delays. Finally, we work with some of the best subcontractors in this area who are true artists at their craft. We are only as good as they are, and those relationships are the lifeblood of our business.
If this sounds like the type of builder you would like to partner with, please reach out. We would love to learn about your family and discuss the dreams you have for your home.
